Piano concert by Lambermont
Tuesday 2 Jun 2009
Last weekend, the pianist and artist Robert Lambermont gave a piano concert in the Zuiderzee Museum. These concerts were a supplement to his work entitled Great Pneuma which will be on show in the Museum Park until 25 October 2009.
Lambermont played pieces written by the present-day composer Simeon ten Holt on a grand piano that had been installed in the exhibition space. The concerts took place in the Wierschuur in the Museum Park on 30 and 31 May.
Installation
In Great Pneuma by pianist and artist Robert Lambermont, mechanics, technical refinement, poetry and music go hand in hand. His installation consists of a moving island, driven by water power, which will be on display along with other kinetic objects from 23 May 2009 onward. Lambermont created the art and music object at the invitation of the Zuiderzee Museum and Stadsherstel Amsterdam.
